I looked...

and looked some more.

Are there actually any improvements with this software? I am guessing that it is a technical upgrade to get full Windows XP compliance. Perhaps it sorts out the problems some XP users have been experiencing with their interfaces.

If you have 1.4 and it works, 1.51 is probably not worth the download. But let's hear your comments.

Cheers,

Andrew

I too looked and could not see what was different so I sent an e-mail to SUUNTO and asked. I also suggested they post the information along with a date the versions come out so it is easy for us to see when it is new.

Here is what changed in Version 1.51
Update for Suunto Dive Manager. It corrects the following errors in the 1.4 version:

Corrects the problem where items selected from the Gear Bag are not always saved with the "Gear for this dive".

Corrects the problem where the Suunto Dive Log import incorrectly sets

Nitrox dives for the Solution Nitrox/Vario dives to Air dives.

Corrects the problem searching for dives where the SAC uses a comma for the decimal notation.

Corrects the error in calculating the remaining cylinder pressure in the simulation when the SAC is expressed as SLM.

Corrects the error in the simulator remaining cylinder pressure display overflowing causing the pressure to increase after reaching zero.

Adds detection of multiple CPU computers and then set the process to run on one of the CPU's only. The API procedure SetProcessAffinity() is loaded at runtime and called by address to prevent a conflict on Windows 95/98/ME where this API is not available. This is a workaround to a RTL problem that may cause a GPF on some multiple CPU computers running Windows NT, 2000, XP, or 2003.

Thanks for the effort, Melvin.

Seems like I will have to continue combining dives manually...:(

Interesting. Not sure I understand what you are doing or why. Would you care to elaborate on why you are "combining" dives? I ask, because if I understand the question, then maybe I or someone else on the board will have a solution, or we can send an e-mail to SUUNTO.

where I have surfaced for a few mins and the return to depth. Examples would be searching for a separated buddy or in my case, during teaching where I might the instructor who sets the float, comes up to the surface for a few minutes with the other instructors and students and the returns to depth. For purposes of tracking/counting, I would prefer that to be 1 dive.

I am assuming that the only way to combine these dives is to manually enter the dive profile....which I have chosen not to do. I usually just IGNORE the dive.

Well, like the rest here I down loaded the v1.51 from Suunto had didn't see any changes that were evident to me, although I see that there are some bug killers. etc. It does seem to work just fine though. I have to use a couple of things that others don't have to use to use my Macintosh though. ;)
