New sub-forum Riviera Maya or correctly said Mexico Caribbean coast

I would like to propose that a new sub-forum be started for the Caribbean cost of Mexico. Riviera Maya is just a marketing name given to this coast by the ministry of tourism some years ago but its has succeeded in becoming a trademark for this area.

In the last year or two the Main Forum "Mexico" has become almost 90 % composed of threads from this part of the country.


Maybe it is time to start a new sub-forum such as the one devoted to Cozumel.

It sounds good to me. The main reason I look at the Mexico sections is for info about RM.

Caribbean Mexico may be a better name. The Riviera Maya is generally the area south of Cancun (excluding Cancun) to Tulum.

Tourist promotion has beed segregated into Cancun - Riviera Maya - Zona Maya - and Costa Maya( all the way to Xcalak). This does encompass the entire east Caribbean coast of Quintana Roo - excluding Cozumel.
