I had a chance to use the new YS-D1 strobe this past weekend. It's always exciting to use a new strobe! I posted a full YS-D1 strobe review here. Let me know if you'd like to see anything else added to the article.

Overall I really liked the strobes, S&S did a great job. - Scott

I would think this should be in the strobes and lighting sub-forum.

Thanks for posting the test. My old YS-110s are getting a little worn and I've been debating whether to have them gone through or replace them and keep them as spares. It sounds like the YS-D1s will be a good replacement. Maybe I'll swap them one at a time as the budget allows. Based on the test they should be about 2 1/2 stops stronger than my YS-110s and recycle much faster at the same light level. That should help the wimpy wide angle levels I've been putting up with.
