Hi,

I live in southeastern Washington (state). I've been certified for two years, but just made my first dives after certification in June. I went to Cancun and dove 6 times in two days. :11: I decided this is too much equalization and won't be doing so much diving in a short time. :10:

I plan on diving in Puget Sound this August. (going crabbing) I hope to start saving money up to buy equipment. I'm thinking an octopus with computer (Aeris AI) and a full face mask (Interpiro AGA) first. Then my fins and booties followed by my BCD and wetsuit.

Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue: Look around our various forums - everything from New-To-Scuba to Instructors-Only to Dive Medicine.

Six in two days? I like six in one day! Your ears get better about it with practice. Can't say I agree with you order of buying equipment. Maybe you can get a good package discount from your LDS and get it all at once. Be sure to include a Safety Sausage, a Storm Whistle, and 4 belt clips for when you unexpectedly have to use a belt.

BTW - Did you set up your Profile, as suggested here: http://www.scubaboard.com/t60416.html I update mine after every trip.

:D

What's a safety sausage? A storm whistle seems self-explanatory. If possible I would definitely like to buy it all as a package, the problem is it will take me quite a while to save up even money.

What about the full face masks? Anyone have experience with them?

Safty sausage, water proof items usually 4 to 5 feet in length. When inflated it sticks above the water line that 4 to 5 feet. Brightly colored to alert the dive boat to your location.
