What do you think of them?

still have no idea the difference between:

- ring type magnetic

- rotary switch

A ring type you can control the output and simple on off with a magnetic switch you always have to run the cycle to get to off. Now if there is not difference on the cycling (hard to imagine having to cycle the ring 3 times but mistakes have been made before) I would prefer the ring and a simple on off. Magnetic switches can accumulate debris from ocean water if they have poor sealing which can jam the switch.

By magnetic I refer to the inset round push button.

@lexvil - I see no buttons...

guess I'm dumb... Is one just twisting the complete flashlight head, and the other is a switch ring?
