I was, but I noticed that it was really screwing up my buoyancy and air consumption rate. Since then, my buddy and I have adopted a more aerodynamic (hydrodynamic?), more horizontal profile, and rather than being attached at the forehead, we uh... er... nevermind. I'm going to end up getting kicked off of SB. LMAO

I have been diving this "Siamese" configuration for quite some time now. The added level of redundant equipment provides for added safety. The only drawback to this configuration is the difficulty making giant stride entries. :D In my profile photo to the left my redudnant diver is located just out of the frame above my mask.

I had to keep it together on my safety stop on Sunday when the DM drifted gently over the top of another diver and landed squarely, butt-first on the diver's head! For a moment, the DM looked like an elaborate hood-ornament.

Cheers,

Andrew

Wow! That looks like a great technique. But I haven't seen the PADI forehead diver program yet. I dont think I would want to try that without the training first :D

Well, you should never be doing a giant stride entry with this configuration.

The proper thing to do is to do a giant stride and then have a member of the boat crew pass the diver down to you.

Most agencies teach that wearing a diver on your forehead is a sign you are a butthead and discourage this, butt I'm a rebel, I do it when conditions permit. :D

"Uh, hello. My name is Mike and I dive with a diver on my forehead"

"Hello, Mike"
