after my canon housing flooded i had to get a new camera. WEll got a good deal o n an olympus fe280 and housing for under 300 bucks all brand new. So now what kind of lenses do they make for this? What strobe would you recomend?

thanks

You have a camera which has no hotshoe on it, so you will have to get a slave strobe eventually.
Here's a site with u/w strobe comparisons:

Underwater Strobe Comparison Guide - Digital Diver Network

Your housing has a 46mm ring around the lensplate. You would be able to use an accessory wide angle lens if it has a threaded mount. Or you could get a bayonet mount accessory lens with an adapter mount. Inon is one manufacturer who offers these lenses. Sea and Sea used to and may still offer them too. Refer to the WA lens on a PT30 thread for more info.

This stuff will probably cost more than twice what you paid for the camera and housing, but this is diving afterall.

hi,

i use sp350. try contacting epoque for lenses specifications. strobes depending on the type of dive u would like to do. if u wanna do shots of wide angle i don't think any powerful stobes will ever be good enough. i have a freind in Indonesia that won a 3rd place in a website international photoshot competition. he took picture of clownfish using a sony dsc p8 and a small or pocket size torch as the strobe. i recommend to try taking the shots first without any strobe and c whether u really need it or not. Olympus is a very good camera. try to use the raw format if available. i hope this helps.
