Alcohol and drug-free clubbing is here. Natural Intoxication via Nitrogen Narcosis,
in a converted bank Vault is the location for this revolutionary new superclub.

Pressure in the vault creates the safe high known as being 'narked' by Divers.
In itself, being narked is not dangerous and creates symptoms of mild drunkedness.

visit the club at www.narked.tk

Sounds cool butit appears to be bullsh** to me.
And 15 pounds for a t-shirt my butt!

I’ve often thought something like this would be a great training aid before a deep diving class so the students could experience their own symptoms in a safe controlled environment. We make pilots flying at high altitude experience hypoxia, so why not divers?

cute.

For any reasonable amount of narcosis, they need to be dancing around at 3-4 atmospheres, and/or chilled down to 50 degrees at 4-5 atmospheres.

It's all fun and games until the vault blows a seal. That would be like 1 hour at 100 ft and then a quick ride to the surface. Not worth any DCS/AEG risks, or unhygienic spitting sure to happen with all that air rushing out of surprised mouths. :11:

You telling me someone cored the steel and concrete surrounding the vault to install the necessary plumbing to pressurize the thing?

Yeah - clubbers got that kind of cash.

Its a complete crock designed to sell bad shirts.

Yeah, but did you notice how that dog's eyes strangely resembled a recent avatar of a frequent SB poster.

You might be able to arrange that. My club has made trips to one of the 'local' hyperbaric chambers to take 'rides' to depth on Saturday's when the chamber isn't already booked. It usually entailed convincing off duty operators to volunteer to work. We'd take dexterity and math tests at the 'surface' and again at 'depth'. Quite interesting test results and a very informative and educational experience for sure.

just get yourself some nitrous oxide it has the same hit. and if im not mistaken long narced exposures will kill brain cells permanently DUH.....

The link doesn't work for me, but it sounds like a recipe for danger.

Does the place only pressure up for a few minutes at a time and then patrons are moved out?

Atmospheric pressure required to get one narced for more than a few minutes would expose patrons to DCS issues in short order. How the heck would they leave without having to go through decompression? Hopefully the article deals with it, doesn't make sense otherwise.

Can you imagine a vault full of clubbers trying to equalize? As said clever T-shirt marketing ploy.

Pete
