Hi Folks,

I am a new member, (wife of diverguy902003), and I look forward to sharing information with other divers. Jim and I are avid divers and slip away every chance we get to dive. Favorite dive spots (US) are West Palm Bch/Pompano FL area and Destin FL. Last exotic dive was to Grand Cayman, and we loved it. Even with poor December weather, we could always find a hospitable side of the island to dive! Our current concerns are Jim's impending back surgery and finding comfortable/warm semi-dry wet suits. I think we have settled on either the Mares Isotherm and the Xcel Infinity. We are hoping to travel to Savannah to try-before-we-buy.

Welcome to the board. If you and your husband every want some one to dive with in WPB, let me and my wife (baitedstorm) know through Florida Conch Divers Forum.

Heya and Welocme to the Board!!!

Welcome to the board!

Good luck to Jim on the back surgery! I had three vertibrea fused together and it only stopped me from diving for a few months. My doctor was a Navy diving doctor in his previous career. He said getting back in the water would be good for me. I have a few minor restrictions but nothing major.

Welcome to the board. Hope things go well with your hubby's surgery. Can't wait to hear about some of your adventures! My family is hoping to head to Bonaire in the summer. Have you been there?

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

And thanks Joe, I am sure Jim will be glad to hear that you had such a positive outcome. As you all know, it isn't easy to find the type of physician specialist who is also familiar with diving medicine. Most are not willing to give you permission to return to diving if they don't understand the physiological ramifications of it, just to be on the safe side.
