I'm not even a diver yet, but I decided to join you guys so I can learn about the wonderful world of SCUBA. I'm taking my classes right now, but won't be done until late september. Either way I'm trying to learn as much and be prepared as possible for this upcoming lobster season. If anybody in the Los Angeles area can fill me in with some tips or information I would grealy appreciate it. Thanks.

Welcome aboard and congrats on starting your classes. You'll find some really great diving in the California Channel Islands; when you're ready we can give you advice on dive boats, etc.
I've been diving for some years and have been to a number of sites around the world and still find something new and great each time I dive Calif.
Good luck on certification and let us know what you need to know.

:sunny Hi there! My name is Matt. Welcome to Scuba Board! I came here looking for help with my diving dream. I’ve met a lot of nice divers and many helpful divers too. I think you will get the information you need from SB. I look forward to reading more of your posts about your diving adventures. If you’d like to chat, please PM me.
I am looking forward to seeing you some more around the boards!

Howdy!

I just want to join the others in welcoming you to SB. Hope to get to know you around the forums. Do check out our forums on New New Scuba and Southern Calf Dive Club.

It's gonna' be a little quite around here for the next week, as our Florida friends prepare for a big storm, :sofa: endure it, then get their electricty going again. Bear with us. I'm leaving tonight to dive Canadian wrecks.

Completing your Profile and seperately - keeping your Dive Info up to date helps in future diving instructions. PM me if I can help you learn your way around.

Hi there! My name is Kayla, and I have been diving for over two years now. I think that you will learn a lot from ScubaBoard, and hopefully you will be able to post about some of your own experiences as well! If you have any questions, please PM me! Otherwise, I hope to get to know you better around the boards!

Safe diving!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Great to hear you are in the process of getting certified! For lots of info on local diving, as well as, lots of great buddies to choose from, check out the SoCal section of our California Kelp Divers forum. See you there! :D

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Welcome to the Board Johnlim98... I am sure you will do great with your class, shows with your attitude to try to learn outside of the classroom.

There are lots of very informative forums with great & friendly people here, so go ahead and post your questions.

Make sure you fill out your profile so the responses you get can give you better content, and also so you can meet your fellow SB in your area.

cheers,
Maria

Benvenuto a bordo from the middle of Mediterranean sea. :wavey:

and soon to the underwater world :fish:
Diving is one of the most addictive thing you will experience. Once you start you will never stop. It’s great!!! You will soon, like all of us, like to have nitrogen in your blood…
