When I lived in Vancouver, BC, our dive club cleaned beluga pool at the Vancouver Aquarium. It was great experience, but very very cold, as they have to keep the water at about 8 C/46 F all year around. The reward for this was, when a diver helps cleaning 3 times, he gets to dive with the belugas. Well I did clean twice and had to go for an ear surgery and never finished the third cleaning. Then I moved to Dominican Republic so I missed the swim that could have been so much fun.

Wow, I'm so jealous! I would love a chance to swim with the Belugas or even clean their tank. I don't know how I would feel about the cold water though! Never been in water that cold. We do have a seal tank that I will be able to get in after six months of diving there, so that will be pretty exciting and cold. Shoot, you had to move to the Dominican Republic, that's awful....lol. I went there last year and did a couple dives. I loved it and was depressed I had to come back.
 
Where did you go?
If you are ever planning on coming back, give me a shout. I know a good dive shop on the north coast, I was diving there for 2 years. Or come down here to the south side of the island (I like diving here in Caribbean waters better, that's why I moved from the north here), and I can take you diving.
 
I was staying at the Paradisis Palma Real near Punta Cana. There was a dive shop onsite, but I can't remember the name of it now. I went on a couple of dives organized through the resort.
