New Member with Philippines queries!

Hello there! I'm a new member and an avid diver. I've been fortunate enough to have visited some really great dives locations over the last few years including: Belize, The Bay Islands, Bali + Lombok, Mexico, Egypt (many times!), Malaysia and capped off with a month in Thailand including a liveaboard to the Similan Islands last year. amazing!

I've got a regular dive buddy and this year we are going to the Philippines for December and coming back early new year. Currently we are looking at putting together an itinerary for the month and would be grateful for any recommendations. We'd like to do another liveaboard, probably from Palawan, and also want to maximise our chances of Whale Shark encounters. Should we go to Donsol for this?

Sorry to go on! One more question, we are discussing whether to fly over to Palau for a one week in the month - should we do this or would that be a waste of time bearing in mind whats on offer in the Philippines?

Any thoughts / tips / recommmendations would be really appreciated!
