Hi all! I am from Western Massachusetts... Not the Boston side.. Lol... Anyways, in my late teens I was certified through Dive Rescue International, but my open water expired. For the last 20 years I have always dreamed about going diving again.. My wife must of got sick of the stories... Anyways, finances have gotten better, my youngest son has taken an interest to the underwater.. Now is a good time to get back into it. Hmmm.. Must be a 40 year old thing ... New sports car or new scuba certification! Anyways, I'm taking my Padi open water through a NH dive shop and can't wait to get back into the water!

Love the forum...

Hi! I agree about the 40 year old thing. I'm turning 40 in January and decided that for that birthday, I want to dive with sharks. :cool2:

Planning a trip to the Bahamas in April of next year (son turns 18 two days before we go). Hope to see you around - if you have any tips, please feel free to share!

I was not aware of a certification that expires???
While the agency may not be around any more you should be able to move to an advanced certification with another agency while refreshing your diving skills.
