Hey guys & gals,
Just got referred to this board from a fellow diver. I'm in the Charlotte, NC area, currently diving freshwater quarries and looking to do some coastal diving as soon as work picks up (read-need $$)....

Just to give y'all an idea of how green I am, just now signed up for the Nitrox course :shiner1: Feel like I'm the only dude getting air fills right now....

Welcome aboard. We are not too far away to dive sometime. Nitrox was the first class after OW that I signed up for.

Yeah, you are not too far away at all. Ever dive in NC?

Welcome to the board from Raleigh. Lot of active divers in your area doing both quarry and coast dives. I encourage you to hook up with some of them, do some quarry dives with then and then head off to the coast with an experienced buddy. Our coast is great but heading down totally green (and ending up that way on board...been there done that :froggy:) without a buddy that has some experience is not the best way to get started.

Thanks Herman,
My diving buddy is an experienced SW diver (in fact, I blame him for keeping me on track to get certified and finally do what I have been wanting to do for years...);)
