Some would consider the Mares RGBM model to be a little on the conservative side. This is clearly subject to debate. Not to go too much into it, my preference is to have a conservative computer. If you've ever witnessed or know someone that has experienced DCS, I think you would agree.
The computer has multiple settings that will adjust the personal preference values. To give some comparison, the Mares RGBM is quite similar to Sunto and Uwatec dive profiles.

There's much debate in scientific circles on the topic of diving computer liberality/conservatism.
Zhe bottom line is that people are analog, as opposed to (quite) digial bubble models. The same model/setting might be overly conservative for me, but might be too liberal for someone else.
Nothing is foolproof, especially diving.
