I don't buy new masks that often but I just bought a new one and did the breath in test in the store and it sealed perfect. However, I took it diving and it seems to constantly be leaking, not horrible but enough where I am consistently having to clear it, whereas my other mask (same brand) is perfect. On the surface I did a quick test and put my face down with out a regulator in and for as long as I could hold my breath it did not seem to be leaking. So it seems the regulator it's self is enough for it leak, has anybody had this happen?

The first thing do you a facial hair like beard or mustache? Found that can cause leaks. Also seen people have the mask too tight and distorts the mask frame. Can you tell where the leak is coming from, that might help point to the problem

Facial hair won't change the seal under water, your regulator will however. Put a snorkel or reg in your mouth and see if it seals. That's the best way.

Sometime ago I got a mask and then had Rx lens put it, when on a trip and the damn thing leaked. I have a mustache so used to some leakage but it was not from that as I could see the water entering from the edge of the lens. I had my previous mask which was the same so swapped the frame pieces - viola no leaking. Once home the mfg took a look at it. One of the frame pieces was slightly warped. So while the air seal was good once in the water and at depth with larger pressure it was leaking. The mfg replaced the mask noting they had not seen this issue before. So decided it was a mfg. fluke.

As such, the issue might be the mask/lens not sealing.

Also make sure your strap is not loose.
Strap is only there to prevent it from falling off. A loose strap will cause far fewer problems than an overly tight one. A well fit mask will stay on your face with the strap in front of you.

I've tried to teach my kids that lesson. At least one of them learned it. A couple of weekends ago they were doing their OW checkout dives at Rainbow River (I was tagging along as a fun diver)
I pretty much just held back from them for the most part, giving them space...
but at one point I looked over, and there she is.... swimming along and completely unaware that her strap was floating completely free and loose ...I mean it was like on her forehead more or less just above the mask lens. So I swam over to her and prompted her to fix it.
I guess it was a little too loose !
