Hello from Houston. I am new to the ScubaBoard and to diving. I got my OW certification in October and Advanced OW in November - 2004. Yup, a double NEWBIE. Just in time for the weather to turn cold. (Of course, cold water down here is equivalent to bath water toyou folks from the frozen north).

I plan to get more experience in the loacal quarries, lakes and the Gulf of Mexico. I hear we actually have one reef and many artificial reefs and platforms to dive on. Winter should be done in a a month or so!

Regards,

Jim

There are a lot of diver related stuff going on from Houston ... for dive sights check out www.divetexas.com also there are great direct flights out out Houston to Mexico and Grand Cayman which can be good deals . If you get the chance go to SEASPACE in June ... it's a great underwater dive show in the AstroHall complex and check out the Houston Underwater Club also.

Hey Jim, welcome to the Board!

Hey Jim,

Welcome to the board and congratulations on your double certifications! I am heading to texas on business and am thinking of diving in clear springs scuba park. I am holding you to that "bath water" statement...
