Time to change my hoses, so I'm thinking of switching to flex hoses. I currently have 28" reg, 26" inflator/air2 and a 30 inch back up spg; I use ai computer. I didn't see a 28 inch flex hose, so I can go to a 26", which I have plenty of hose, don't know if would affect air share if needed. Thought about switching to a 40" and route under the arm style. Would I need a swivel to route flex hose under arm? Would the flex hose with the built in swivel be good or do I need to go standard flex and add a swivel? Open to any ideas or suggestions. I just do rec diving. I could stay standard over shoulder routing and do 26" or 30" flex hose, just don't won't big halo.

I use a 40" under arm with swivel adapter.

For 36/40 inch hoses under the arm and set as primary I use the 90 degree swivels. If I am using the under arm routing for my octopus then I have been using those swivel balls rather than a 90 degree. If I route the primary on a long hose primary (60-72 inches) then no swivel is needed. I love the braided hoses. N

I took the swivel off my 40" hose to try, unless I'm missing something I can not see how this is comfortably useable. Cheers.
I'm using 40" under the arm with a 90° elbow/swivel... I find it way more comfortable than the traditional over the shoulder setup.
My advice is usually worth what you paid for it, though! Lol

Not challenging you, I'm always open to new ideas that may be better than what I'm doing/using. Genuinely interested. Does your first stage have a down facing port? I know it's probably a pain in the ass but I'd love to see a photo of your set up. If it's workable for me too I'd like to ditch the swivel, I've had more issues with swivels than anything else. It's conceivable in my attempts to mimic your set up I'm routing incorrectly. Cheers.
