I am quite interested in this. I actually find that I have a problem equalizing generally between 45-55' in the water column on descent. I can work through it (up and down, continually clearing), but generally will get a bit of middle ear baratroma where it feels like there is water in the ear, but it won't come out. Causes a bit of dizziness as well. A call to DAN and was (and have been) able to resolve it with sudafed and advil within 1-2 days generally. Anyhow, this sounds like it might be a good "assistance" to me. Might just give it a try! I'll report back if and when I get the chance. :P

Interesting... wonder if this would reduce the occurance of post-dive mask boogers too???

Wow,

I've been using that stuff all winter. With my classes, there have been times this winter with the flu going around that I've really clogged up. That stuff worked like a charm. You can make the same concoction up by mixing baking powder, salt and warm water.

My main question would be the feeling that you get using it. Does it burn or hurt at all when you rinse?

I used it for the first time yesterday as a matter of fact.

no, it doesn't burn at all. what it does is make me gag when the solution gets to the point where it starts to enter the throat and other nasal passage. I guess that's just the price you pay for clearing your sinuses.

It cleared out a bunch of junk I didn't even know I had. I was feeling as clear and open as I've ever felt in a long while. I will be using this once a day until and unless it clears up on its own.

Try it out. it's a very strange and somewhat nasty sensation, but it doesn't hurt, and it works.

Last year my ENT suggested I buy a saline nasal spray for this purpose - just any one on the shelf. I have to admit I didn't, but now I'm thinking I might get one. I don't think it has to be this particular one - but I'll look for it. Thanks for the info.
