New Hero3+ Protune Update

Packing up my GoPro for my flight to Cozumel tonight and just noticed that there is a Hero3+ Black update which pretty much gives more settings on Protune:

Advanced Protune Controls Explained


It looks like you can choose between Protune Auto vs Raw and other White Balance settings.
Also you can choose between GoPro Color vs Flat. GoPro Color gives you the same colors with Protune off.
Also ISO, sharpness and exposure adjustments

Although it seems like this may help minimize the need for postproduction editing, I'm wondering if these new settings diminish the power of just using plain old Protune RAW and correcting everything yourself post

Seems to me that if you selected protune auto and gopro color and high sharpness then you get video that looks like regular 1080p auto. But you are still consuming power and memory at higher protune rates
