Hi, I've been diving for more than 20 years. Trained up to divemaster, but don't use it professionally. Enjoy shooting video, it takes less talent than stills. I've traveled extensively thoughout the Pacific especially appreciating WWII sites. Spent a month there last March. I also volunteer for an aquarium diving with an Aga mask and feeding fish and sharks. Because of work I travel a lot. Later this week to Cancun. Think I will dive a couple of days, which is why I find myself here. Used to participate on the Compuserve dive forum back in the day when it was done at 300 baud.

Welcome to SB, with your experience I am looking forward to your future post......

Welcome to the site. I too am going to look forward to reading about your experiences. What do you do for work that enables you to travel so much?

Thank you for the welcome, I didn't expect any responses. I really appreciate all the welcomes. I logged on to get information on diving the ceynotes in Cancun. I am a dentist. I travel to be educated, to educate, and to treat. Because I do a lot of anesthesia, I am often the closest thing to a physician in remote locations so I carry a medical kit with me. I have no trouble carrying drugs and syringes.... go figure! I just act like it is my right and customs goes along with it.

I'd like to consider Yap a second home. I have a lot of friends there and a village that considers me one of them.

I still have a long list of places I want to go, but I would be happy to share experiences in Yap, Palau, and Truk because I have been there many times. Cancun is not a dive destination for me, but I am going to be there for education. I have been to Cozumel many times. Each time was my last, but it is cheap and easy to dive, so I can bring my family. My real home is in Monterey CA.

welcome aboard

Welcome to the Boards and look forward to hearing about some of your adventures in diving. I would love to travel from my job...just to places I could dive.
