The original post for this was lost with the scubaboard crash of 2007, so I thought I would re-post.

I've logged about 20 dives on one of these, and although it's exceptionally comfortable, the 3mm around the neck just isn't warm enough for me. My drysuit has a latex neck seal, so I really don't have much insulation in this critical area, and in the 43-45 degree waters I've been diving in recently on Vancouver Island, it's leaving my neck on the cool side after the 30 minute mark.

I'm currently trying to figure out if there's something I can add to the neck area to keep it warmer. Otherwise a great design!

Hope you appreciate the feedback and don't take this too negatively. I generally think your products are first rate. ;)

Thanks for the feedback - we do have another hood - same design but in 7mm/5mm, non zip on the way for the colder waters. Should be available soon.

It's pretty hard to develop a product that meets every divers needs in every environment - I dive here in Victoria as well - although it is cool when I first get in, I find the hood is great after an hour - but like I say, every diver is different...depth, currents etc. can all play important roles as well.....

We'll keep you posted on the release of the new hood.

Thanks,
Tyler
