I just finished my basic open water class today. Thanks to a conversation with the campers next to us (Kunk35) I found out about this site. I look forward to meeting some of you and diving some more!

BTW, I am a fireman, and was made to take this class for work. I am stationed at our dive/swift water rescue station and it is a requirement.

Our open water dives were done at CSSP in Terrell where it was fairly cold:blinking:

It was nice meeting all of you, I didn't get to talk much cause Kunk35 makes me do all the packing up.:shakehead: (j/k Kory)

CSSP is a nice place to dive, it's still a little chilly right now, but it will warm up soon. (70's mostly, sometimes 80's near the surface) The bad thing about that is, when the water warms up, the algae will come out. But... we can't have it all.

We'd be happy to dive with you anytime, keep an eye on the board, there is always someone headed out to CSSP, or Lake Travis, or Lake Murray. I think we're headed to Murray in a couple of weeks.

Welcome to the board,
Rhonda

Welcome Joe! Glad you checked out the site!

I hope you enjoyed your open water class enough to come dive with us. Just in case you haven't read the thread about the Texas Swamp Divers, all it takes to become one of the "elite" is to dive with one of us! And I use the term elite very losely.....

Welcome to the boards! :)

Welcome to the Swamp! :D
