Randy, from Wisconsin's Northwoods. Contrary to popular belief, we are NOT Neaderthals here, and actually use money instead of beaver pelts for currency. Hehe!
Retook up diving after a very short hiatus, and selling my ancient equipment, mainly because I love all things aquatic, including kayaking, boating, etc. I have been diving a lot of years, since 1972. Recently found out that NASDS lost all records from pre-1977, so I am desperately searching for documentation for a new C-Card. YIKES!
Looking forward to some networking, advice and all.
First STupid Question: I have an older Dacor console, and a new Eagle SPort regulator. The older models didn't have different port sizes for HP and LP ports, is there an adapter available for conversion?
Thanks
Cubby ;)

Hi there. My name is Kayla, and I have been diving for over two years now. I think that you will be able to learn a lot from ScubaBoard, and hopefully you can post about some of your own experiences as well! If you have any questions, PM me! Otherwise, I hope to get to know you better around the boards!

Safe diving!

Howdy!

I want to welcome you to SB. Hope to get to know you around the forums.

Your Avatar is a bit of challenge. Another :confined: ? Semper Fi.

It's gonna' be a little quite around here for the next week, as our Florida friends prepare for a big storm, :sofa: endure it, then get their electricty going again. Bear with us. I'm leaving for Ontario tonight, myself.

Not what you want to hear, but as long as it's been since you dived, do the OW course all over. Things change, and your skills won't be dependable. I doubt that you're concerned, probably just want to dive with a knife in your teeth, but this'll play better. And forget the 30 year old reg. The new equipment is worth living with.

Completing your Profile and seperately - keeping your Dive Info up to date helps in future diving instructions. PM me if I can help you learn your way around.

Thanks. I REALLY don't want to do the OW course again. I have been diving until two years ago, but recently moved to Wisconsin.I'd sold my ancient equipment before I moved and recently bought a new reg, BCD, but was depending on my older Dacor console to fit my first stage. Didn't realize someplace along the way the standard for the HP ports had changed. WOndering yet about the adapter....the new reg is tops, no doubt, much easier breathing than the old Scubapro, but I liked my old Dacor console (easy to read and dependable).

hey, welcome aboard SB, have you tried your lds for an adaptor? i would start there, but i'm sure others on this board would know.

Welcome to the board Randy... lots of very informative forums with great & friendly people here.

Maybe you can post your question on the 'Regulators' forum to get more answers...

safe diving and good luck finding what you need.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

You should just be able to go to your LDS and get an adapter. If they don't have it then they can probably get it. It's probably a 1/2 inch to 3/8 adapter.

I've misplaced my original C-card from 1979, but still have a couple of others from the 80's. It'll turn up in a box somewhere someday.

Maybe you can get the people from the dive shop that you used to use before you moved to write a letter for you to NASDS telling them that they remember seeing your C-card on many occasions over the years. If you'd been diving all that time, hopefully NASDS would issue you a new card. Maybe they would be willing to let you take an advanced class as a refresher and throw in the basic cert.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
