The Keys as your back yard ... awesome! Check out Silent World in Key Largo. MsParamedic is on ScubaBoard and a Captain and Instructor for them. She loves meeting new folks from ScubaBoard. They dive the northern part of Key Largo mostly. Very good marine life. 2 boats and good people. Never cattle boats!

In Key West try Captain's Corner and the Sea Eagle.

Very good boats for all divers ... from OW to Tech.

Welcome to the ScubaBoard by another newbie...

Hey Amy, I actually go diving in So.Fla a few times a year and when I head down we almost always go on Ocean Divers (ODs for short) in Key Largo. Not too long of a drive (I even come from Miami Lakes) and the staff is very nice and helpful. You should look them up and you can hit up some great dives, and if you ever get the chance try the Spiegel Grove, it's awesome to see.

If you have any questions just send me a message.

Amy:
go dive with Pavan at Dixie Divers in Deerfield Beach. They often go to a wreck called the Sea Emperor. You need your advanced certification for that one but there are always a couple of large jew fish, large Rays that come lokking for food from your hand (although you are not really supposed to feed them...) and a very large green moray eel! I highly recommend it. I am sure other shops dive this wreck as well.
There is always Pro-dive and their Sea Experience II.....when they are not sailing the inland waterways as they did yesterday...I am sure they go out for real dives!
Ha!
