Well my name is Brandon and I am from Weaverville, CA. Weaverville is about 1 hour west of Redding, CA and about 2 hours east of Eureka, CA. I grew up in Fort Bragg, CA on the Mendocino Coast and moved here to Weaverville about 6 years ago.

Because I grew up in Fort Bragg I started abalone diving when I was 10 and now I have been doing it for about 18 years. When I lived in Fort Bragg I dove a lot, sometimes multiple times in one day. Now that I live in Weaverville I don't get to abalone dive as much as I would like, but when I go back to visit family I usually make a point to get in the water.

I am new to scuba and only recently got certified. I have been diving in Whiskeytown Lake and once in Hawaii with a "discover scuba" trip. I would like to do some diving along the Humboldt coast since it is only 2 hours away, but it is kind of hard to find anyone to dive with over there.

I am planning a trip to Playa Del Carmen at the end of May and look forward to doing some diving while I am there. I plan on making it out on a boat hopefully a couple of times and I am hoping to find a good dive shop that I can rent gear from so that I can do some shore diving.

I am really looking forward to diving, hopefully soon and if anyone is up near Eureka or Northern, CA shoot me a message and maybe we can hook up and get in the water.

Brandon
