We live in the Virgin Island and operate a dive/sail charter boat. We belong to the local dive club and although we work in the dive industry we love to dive and we even take dive vacations to other parts of the world. You would think we would get tired of being under water, but we can't get enough. We would love to hear from other divers. We are thinking of going to Mexico to do some cave diving. We did a lot in Andros and we miss the challenge.

Glad to be here! I'm new to this, so be patient. We do have a web site and I change it offten with new pix from our charters. I do a lot of underwater video and I'm in the process of trying to put a video stream on our site. We just got off charter and we are done for the rest of the summer. Time to do all that fun stuff like paint the bottum of the boat. I'm sure we will be taking some time off to explore around Puerto Rico. We have not spent much time there so it should be fun. If you have been there or know anyony who has let us know.

Yachtopus,

St Ursula had a lot of Virgins with her! Upon which one of her Virgins do you Opus your Yacht?

At any rate, welcome to our boat...while not a yacht, it does feature all sorts of amenities: friendly divers from all over the world, lively discussions of dive-related issues (Well, a few strange threads do find their ways in here and there!), nice photos from the up-to-date photo nuts (While a nut, I am not up-to-date and so my photos remain in a clandestine state.), and all sorts of other valuable items!

So, drop your anchor, pull up your PC or Mac, and weave us some yarns about your diving!

Love the name, yachtopus.... Welcome to the best SI spot on the Web. Mmmm, the Virgin Islands... now that's a place I've always dreamed about. Would love to get out there some day.

And we can TOTALLY believe that you love to go on diving holidays, despite diving being your profession - who wouldn't?

Hope to catch you around often.
Cheers
:)

Hello Yachtopus,

My wife and I are coming to your home at the end of October for 8 glorious days. We will be staying in a condo on Sapphire Beach. How far are you from there?

Can you recommend any good diving excursions. I am OW certified, but my wife will be a diving virgin. So will probably do a discover diving trip. I would like to find some nice places to go.

Thanks a lot in advance for any info you provide!
