Hello,

I just recieved my ow certification a few weeks ago. Haven't done much diving with the 'canes coming through. Am looking for diving buddy(ies) in the Venice/Sarasota area. Thanks!

Steve

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest! Also, be sure to check out our New To Scuba forum.

Completing your Profile and seperately - keeping your Dive Info up to date helps in future diving discussions. You can use the Quick Links menu above for this. PM me if I can help you learn your way around.

Heya Steve, welcome to the Board.. I absolutely agree with Scott, your more than welcome into our little clan of divers.. There's some talk now about diving Venice Beach this week (maybe Friday). I had a really nice find last month on my first time and can't wait to do it again....
Cheers,
Vickie

I agree with Vickie agreeing with Scott! Welcome. Finding buddies for the area shouldn't be too hard :). I try to make Venice beach at least twice a month, and when the water is a bit clearer, it'll be worth it again. We tried on Sunday, but vis was down below the 1" mark. If you can't make it Friday, I'll be going (hopefully) sometime this weekend.

Also, there's the sugar barge in Bradenton. It's cool, but there's not too much left of the wreck.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally once the 'canes are over.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
