Hey,
New to diving from Sacramento. Got my OW cert here locally through PADI and just signed up for the E-learning on the EANx and AOW. Have been doing most of this with my wife who got certified at the same time, however she is having to take some time off from diving and has encouraged me to continue. I have a few pool practice dives in and, like I said, did my OW cert, and am generally water intelligent. Former competitive swimmer, swimming instructor, swim coach, former sailer, did a fair bit of ocean, river, and lake fishing from shore and boat. Really want to get some dives in so that I can maybe join the next Channel Islands trip with Dolphin locally so I can maybe snag a few bugs and bring home a nice halibut.
All that said, looking for local dive buddies with experience willing to head out to the local lakes, hit the coast with a newbie, or something else? Looking to get some dives under my belt with experienced buddies who err on the side of safety.
Also, LOVING diving so far!!!!
