Hey, from new mexico here. New diver. Will be posting plenty of already-asked questions, I'm sure, so bear with me! Lots of info on your site. Almost more than one guy can absorb!

Glad to have you here. You're retiring in a few years, eh? More time for scuba - which I started at age 53. Are you training at Santa Rosa? I'll be there the first and fourth weekends in October I think.

No, haven't done Santa Rosa yet. Went spear fishing in Conchas though. An October trip might not be bad, give me a chance to do the lake and Blue Hole. If I can swing it with a few of the guys, I'll give you a shout and maybe see you up there!

welcome. we used to be stationed at Holloman (1996-2000). this is the best hobby/ or job for your retirement.

Thanks. I was stoked when I became a triple-digit-midget! This is really what I want to do, as I haven't met ANYONE in the dive industry so far I didn't like!

Welcome to Scubaboard Mason! Yes, this is an awesome site for new divers. I started diving in May and have been able to find answers to all the questions I have had along the way. And, there is always someone on the board who is ready to dive!
