Hey Gang,
Stumbled across this board the other evening and figured I'd say hello. I'm new, just taking my Open Water class now, and did a Discover Scuba last March down in the Caribbean. Absolutely loved it and I felt so comfortable in the water.
I'll be lurking but hope to meet and make a few dive buddies from the Long Island area.
Cheers! Dan

BTW: Don't be a "lurker" too long... jump in and give us your comments... all opinions are accepted and appreciated.

Welcome and good luck with you OW class.

That's the same way I got hooked.

Heya and Welcome to The ScubaBoard. Glad to hear about your upcoming certification... Keep us updated on your progress!

Welcome! Good luck on your open water class. I might suggest dropping by our New2Scuba and Basic Scuba Discussions forums for some good discussion about learning the sport.

Please be sure to post a trip report about your class. It's a great way of pulling things together, and it's always fun for us experienced divers to see a newcomer's first impressions of our amazing bit of the underwater world.

Welcome again,
Grier
