Howdy all-just a quick 'hello' and about me.

Important stuff: I originally got my PADI OW cert in '04, and did a few dives in Coz and St. Lucia (and by few, I mean MAYBE 2-3 past the OW checkouts in Coz). LOVED it, but never seemed to be able to plan vacations around dive spots, and then there was the whole fear of getting paired with...or worse, finding out I WAS, the dreaded instabuddy, so there ended my initial diving career. :depressed: This past April, I got married in Antigua, and as we prepped for the wedding I asked her what she thought of trying out diving...and she said 'yes!' So, now, after her SSI OW class and checkouts in Antigua (married, honeymoon, and built in buddy in a week & a half-calling it a 'win' :D ) we're just getting (re-) started in diving. For the time being, right now, we're more focusing on getting our kits together, and then get as much bottom time as possible. Our next trip will be this fall with the LDS to Bonaire, then, who knows...

Other stuff: Career wise, I'm a chemical engineer :dork2:, and, somewhat related to diving, I suppose, I've also kept reef tanks for about 10 years [currently dry, new house, moved a couple of times, etc. (I REALLY hope I'm not opening up myself to flame-fest '12 here-what do most divers think of reefkeepers, anyway?)].

Anyway...I'll likely be doing a lot of lurking for a bit; reading and maybe a question here or there and making extensive use of the 'search' box to find out what has (likely) been hashed and re-hashed a number of times.

Thanks!
Stacy

Welcome to the board Stacy. 16 years in the Atlanta area myself. Gone now, but might have to come back.

Cool. I've been here about 2 years now; raised in South Carolina and since going off to college in New York have been in Virginia, Connecticut, NY (again), Chicago, and then Brazil for about 6 months. Nice to 'meet' you, James.
