When you talk to the little skinny guys in the shop, they have no idea what bigger people are dealing with in their gear.

agreed - and most dive equipment is either made for "skinny" folks or just enlarged versions of the same gear. To be honest, I don't think most big guys need the aditional bouyancy of those huge jackets - they just give more squeeze. You just need the proper bouyancy in the right spot.
