Welcome Sue
Hope you enjoy the board and find it as informative as I do!
Where are you from and what kind of diving do you do?

Wow, thank you H2Andy for finding my lost greeting! Hello to everyone! ....My husband and I live in Maine. We've just completed our advanced OW certification and are just newbies with 15 dives so far.

I have always been in love with the ocean underworld! As a young adult I could never afford scuba instruction, and then finally when I could, I experienced a near death under water rafting accident. One of the biggest surprises to me after, was realizing that I had developed a fear of water. I could swim and boat, but I sure couldn't see myself scuba diving.

Well, long story short, is eight years after, I AM OVER MY FEAR AND CERTIFIED! I am so happy! I think about diving every day. And now my biggest concern is.....how many years do I have left before I need to quit? I am 46! But, a young 46 in spirit!

I love the personalities that makeup this board and appreciate all the information! My husband and I want to begin diving in Maine and hopefully meet other divers from the area. Our dives so far have all been in Hawaii. My favorite diving is the night time manta ray dive with Jack's Diving Locker. There are no words to express the experience of diving with these mantas. As corny as it sounds........I absolutely love them......and all the fish, eels, turtles......everything! We also had two male humpbacks breach twenty feet from our boat. As you will probably soon learn, I am a very emotional person when it comes to the underwater world. So believe me when I say.......I dropped to my knees in excitement when I saw these beautiful animals emerge from the underworld! WOW!

Talk with you soon!

I am addicted, Sue..............
