Good for you, a live in dive partner lol. My mother in law asks "what about sharks" every time we take the boat out so naturally the wife is scared too.

It's the best way to go. If she likes it you have a reliable dive buddy. Plus, you may find that she is more receptive when you decide you really need that new hoseless AI dive computer with 3D compass, dual algorithms, etc. (Downside is you'll probably have to get one for her too!).
