New diver..what's a backplate & wing?

Good Afternoon,
Can someone please explain exactly what is a backplate & wing BC, and what is the difference between it, and the jacket-style that I've been using? Thanks!

Your best bet is going to be to hookup with someone in your area and look/see/touch/talk about it in person, rather then online (if possible).
