bcd conventional or air trim my spare second is the type that conect to bcd inflator is that a good idea or do i change to a longer house on my chest do i need spareair or leave it alone im a litle scare diveing,is this normal or i need to stop diveing.

you should go to your local dive shop where you were trained at and talk with them and try out different gear and talk with your instructor..use what is comfortable for you to use

Hey, it sounds like you just need to do some more supervised diving, and decide what configuration works for you. You don't need a longer hose on an alternate attached to your inflator, since you pass your primary and you breathe from your alternate.

Don't cheat yourself out of a great experience, just get some more training-perhaps a buoyancy class will make you more comfortable. I hope this helps!

You're a beginning diver, and shouldn't be "re-inventing the wheel" yet. Keep your equipment simple, and give yourself more "bottom time" with the equipment configured like in your basic open water dives.

When you're past 100 dives, judge the equipment other divers are using and adopt your own choices. Some of those choices may be bad, but with experience, you can make a bad choice, without endangering your self.

Spare air, is an option for an experienced diver. . . adding more toys to keep under control, while you're still learning the basics, is making your starting dives too complicated. What length hose, and routing the hose, is something you need more time with the basic configuration.

agree with mudhole...spare air and extra goodies are just that, extra goodies that you don't necessarily need. as a newer diver, you should always be with a buddy and spare air should not be necessary. as you grow and become more comfortable, you can add those extra goodies.

also sounds like you have an air 2 setup. (IMHO) this is a better set-up for a more experienced diver. i would stick with a conventional octo set-up.

good luck and welcome to SB!

thank you guys i will keep it simple and im geting more bottom time, going to key largo i know it will be fun.
