Hi all,

New member just finished my advanced course and am now moving on to dive in the Philippines. Any advice would be welcome.

Hopefully be able to buddy up with someone

Cheers

Jens

Congratulations on finishing your advanced course!

I haven't dove in the Philippines but the best advice i can give you as a new diver :

- you can NEVER be too far away from a reef.
- Dont take a camera until you perfected your buoyancy
- Always remember pre dive safety checks, they save lives.
- If at any point you are uncomfortable with a specific dive plan or situation there is no shame in saying no and turning back. dive your limits.
- Keep practicing basic skills like Reg retrieval on regular basis, practicing it 5 times during the course isn't enough to be 100% competent in an actual emergency.

And most importantly, enjoy exploring the underworld! its magical
