New Diver-just completed Open Water Certification- greetings from Long Isand, NY

Hello everyone. While doing some research I came across this site. Read a few posts and thought I would join- if only to get some newbie questions answered and eventually maybe actually know enough down the road I amy be able to answer some.. I just completed my Open Warter Certification down in the Florida Keys- much warmer down there than where I am from. I am loking forward to reading the posts

Welcome to SB from a native Yonkersite.. Whereabouts on the Island? Plan on doing any shore diving there? Some fairly decent spots, though I found (legal) parking to be a recurring problem. You may try the NY/NJ Shore Beach online guide (the name is something like that).
