New Diver in Sacramento...

Hello,

I am new to the Sacramento area from Portland, Oregon. I am looking to do some diving. I heard there are a few local dive spots, but most of the good stuff is in Monterey. I logged in about 200 dives in Oregon and Washington over the last few years. I would like to check out both the local spots and the coast.

Anyone interested in being a buddy?

I'm thinking, not fully decided yet, of going diving on the 24th to Monastery Beach in Carmel. You're more than welcome to tag along, i go diving with a group of guys i work with, you'll meet a few guys you can dive with if they all come along, it might only be a couple of us though, but either way, you'd be welcome. I'll send you a pmj next week if we decide to go.

I am able to dive locally (Sacramento Area) weeknights and weekends. I am generally free a couple weekends a month to take road trips to the coast.

Wouldn't mind doing some easy dives inland (Folsom Lake?)before I head to the coast. Need to shakedown the gear. It's been over a month since I hit the water.

What about Lake Tahoe? I heard there were some dive sites there.

I am booked up the weekend of the 23rd through the 25th. I will have to catch you next time.

What's Monastery Beach like? I heard its a good dive, but can be a challenging entry.
