G'day,
I'm new to scuba diving, having completed my Open Water in February. Since then I've been buying gear and getting wet on pier dives, night pier dives and boat dives.
Of course, right now I'm frustrated with having to hire gear and be diving in a different setup every time. But tomorrow I'm getting my BCD, which will mean I then have most of the major items of equipment, and won't be hiring gear to go diving.
Looking forward to getting comfortable with my new rig and then doing my Advanced Open Water once I have 20 or so dives.
For more details, please check out the Scuba Diving section of my web site at: http://www.borrett.id.au/interests/scubadiving.htm. There's a great photo taken by a dive buddy just the other week on a pier dive.
One of the things I do is build web sites. I've ended building a web site for a local dive shop, which went live just this week. It's still a work in progress, but there is already some great content on the web site. I particularly love the photos that accompany the article about a dive trip to Bikini Atoll in 2005. See for yourself at http://www.scubadoctor.com.au/.
Best Regards, Lloyd Borrett.
