Hi, This is my first posting! I am needing some advise about diving in the springs in Florida. I have read alot and have some ideas but first hand experience really would help me make up my mind. I am thinking of going after Christmas with a buddy who has some experience but not in Springs. We are also going to campout so some advice on which campgrounds would be a big help. I hope I am doing this right.

If you want a true "Florida" dive experience you got to check out Weeki Wachee Springs.

This is a first magnatude spring that has over 200 million gallons of flow per day. The water is crystal clear with a constant 74.2 degrees.

This is the place where they have been doing mermaid shows for over 50 years!

At the time you are planning your trip, there are usually Manatees in the basin--which is really cool to see!

There is a dive shop .5 miles down the road and camping nearby.
