New Diver from Southern California

Greetings All -

Been certified less than a year with a couple dives since and just looking into getting my own gear.

Would like to buy DIR/GUE compliant set up from the outset. Would also like to meet any DIR style divers in Orange County/Los Angeles area that I could dive with, bounce ideas off, etc.
