Did somebody mention Zeagles? *immediately perks up*
I have a Zeagle Escape, and I am totally in love with it. I may marry it, actually. I have a smallish build, and I had a hard time finding a BC that fit me properly, but thanks to Zeagle's sexy swap-outable different sizes I was able to put together something that fit me exactly. I definitely feel that back-inflate is the way to go - jackets are confining and icky, in my opinion. I do have a few quibbles with its design: venting air can be a little tricky, and you may find you have to contort a bit to properly deflate. Also, the pockets (on mine, at least) are pretty well non-existant, but I personally really don't care about pockets, so. I've had a few people rail at me for my Zeagle, insisting that you can't teach in one - 'when you're on the surface, you spend all your time on your FACE!' they cry. Not true. By experimenting a bit, you'll find just how to position yourself in the water, and surface swims will become a treat.
Look into bp/w if you're interested in going a tech route - or even if you're not, really - but be sure to try stuff on, first. I dig on the streamlining, but personally don't really like the feel of backplates. Your mileage may vary.
