greetings from guam,
i am brand new to the whole forum thing and was wondering if anyone out there could help me out with new bc selection. to start off i own a scubapro glidesport and bought it used but has been fine for the time being. i recently tried on my buddys seaquest blackdiamond and fell in love with the whole back inflate concept. now im in the market for a new setup all together and the 3 i have narrowed it down to is the black diamond, scubapro knighthawk, and the oceanic excursion. all these bc's are offered at my local dive shop whom i dive out of. any suggestions would help.

thanks
Pax

I would consider how much lift you are really going to need. The Black Diamond I understand is a great BC, but it has 50# of lift. Do you really need that much lift?
Plenty of advise here on the board that will help you calculate lift.
I am not aware of the lifts for the other 2, but I would not buy more than you need.

Welcome to the Scubaboard! I can't say enough good things about the Knighthawk as a rec BC. I like it's "trim", the way it really secures a tank (& with only one strap) and the way Scubapro backs everything up. I own a lot of different dive gear and their service has been the best so far.

welcome to SB...:). I have a Genesis Recon back inflate BC for my rec diving and I love it. Just my$0.02 and another option before you make a decision
