"Spirit's arrival has pushed fares from Dallas to the Caribbean lower by 40 to 60 percent from a year ago, according to discount travel Web site Bestfares.com. AMR Corp.'s American Airlines, Delta Air Lines Inc., and Continental Airlines Inc. matched many of Spirit's fares.
"Spirit will operate one daily flight from DFW to Fort Lauderdale, and flies from there to several places in the Caribbean..."
including Grand Cayman and two airports in the Turks & Caicos, according to their website.
