Hello fellow divers.

This is my first post, so here goes.

I am thinking of going to Turkey or Croatia this summer. I have been to Egypt before so i fancy somewhere different, but within 3or4hrs from london.
Has anyone been to these places before. If so do you have any tips for me.
Thankyou.

Hi,

I went diving in Turkey last July. I dove with Anemone in Kas for five days. They are a great group of people--Serdar, Arzum and Ender! The water is very clear and warm at that time of year and dive sites are close. One dive in morning around 9:30 AM, coming back for a couple of hours before going back out around 3 PM. Saw a few critters, but went diving there for something different and to see the amphora (pots thousands of yrs. old). I also enjoyed the replica of the 3,336 yr. old Lykia.

Thanks for your info.

I am thinking of perhaps a shore based holiday,do you recommend kas as a good place for things to do in the evening,as well as good dive sites.

Hello Bobbyball,
have you considered Malta / Gozo?

I dived Gozo a few years back and had a really good time both in the water and on land :)

Hi Magnus.

I went to gozo at xmas about 4yrs ago,but the weather was so bad. I have always wanted to go back, so maybe i may go in june to xlendy (i think thats the name).

Kas is a pretty laid-back town with not much to do in the evenings except hang-out at bars and visit with people.
