Slowly but surely, travel is becoming easier - fully vaccinated travelers can now enter the Bahamas without even having a COVID test!
Anyone who has been fully vaccinated (and had two weeks after the final shot to build immunity) qualifies to enter test-free. All you need to do is apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa (up to two weeks before arrival), and submit your proof of vaccination to be approved.
Travelers who have recently tested positive for COVID (within 90 days and more than 14 days prior to travel) and recovered also qualify to enter the country test-free. It just requires a letter from your doctor giving the go-ahead, then you can submit the necessary paperwork on your travel health visa to be approved for entry.
Unvaccinated travelers can still travel to the Bahamas, though! You just need a negative COVID test within 5 days of travel and an approved Bahamas Travel Health Visa.
Returning to the US after an All Star Liveaboards Bahamas trip is easy, too. All passengers (besides those who have recently recovered from COVID) can be tested right at the dock when you return to port. Your travel health visa even covers the cost of the test!
For Blackbeard's and Cat Ppalu, it's done on Thursday afternoon and costs $10 for the lab to come administer the test. For Aqua Cat, it's done on Friday afternoon - and since the marina is already a testing site, it's completely free of charge!
You can find more detailed information here on our COVID Travel Updates page. We continually revise it as updates arise, so you know it has the most up-to-date information for traveling to countries where we run trips!
