I was going to buy a 10D package last weekend until I saw that Canon announced the 20D.. now I'm waiting for that to be released, and Ike says as soon as it's available, he'll make a housing. He also just announced eTTL support for the Digital Rebel 300D with more models soon to follow. I imagine that since he's building a new housing anyway, he'll add eTTL to the new 20D. PLEASE!!!!

its not getting the rave reviews though, while it is 8 meg and has 9 point auto focus, things i have read says it is basically the same functionality as the D70 but more pixels.

is it worth spending the extra money?

that could go a long way to getting some glass or a housing.

and while we are on housings, look how long it took for a 10D housing to come ou from ikelite d70 took 30 to 60 days and the 10D was well over a year.

I've read 3 reviews so far that all were excellent. The 20D also has higher fps than the D70 and less noise in low light. The 20D pulls from the technology used in the EOS 1Ds which is their flagship DSLR camera. I'd compare the D70 more toward the Digital Rebel or 10D. Look for Nikon to come out with a new camera to compete with the 20D.
