OK i'm ready to buy a new camera. I have had an old Sealife reef master 2.1 for a few years. Sealife has 2 new cameras (SL709 & the SL710) both are DC 1200s one has a light & a strobe, 1 has 2 strobes so witch is better. I also like the Sea & Sea Dx-2G. I like the Sealife for the big buttons because allot of my diving is in Kansas with 6mm gloves. Let me know what you think are these good cameras or is there something out there better?

The battery door is broke on my old camera. Does anybody have parts for the 2.1

I didn't know about the 2.1. I went from DC100 to DC310 and that was lonnnng ago. I would not put any money into a 2 mp camera, especially for diving, but you just might find some 2.1 parts at Sealife as they took in a lot of old cameras during their recent rebate trade-in special. Ask karl@pioneer-research.com

So why do you want a 2 mp and a 12? Backup? I have 2 - DC500 and the DC1200 so I really should find a home for one of the 5 mp. I hate to sell it too cheap but its time has really passed...

We have a group of boy scouts that got certified last year so I am going to donate the 2.1 to the boy scouts if I can get it fixed.

Mention that to Karl. I am sure he has parts laying around.

Thanks DandyDon I tried him & this was his reply. Thanks

Hello Unfortunately we no longer have any parts left for this camera. The only thing I could suggest is that you shim the camera on the battery door side when it is in the housing. If I come across any ( dealers sending back old stock) I will send one to you. Take care Karl

I expected him to be nice about it even if he didn't have such old parts. It may not be likely that he'd get one on the rebate trade-in, but you tried.

I have been useing a foam shim for a while and it works but I just wanted to give them something that was not pre broke.
